Pleasantly surprised during a brief visit to Forster to find Modan Kitchen. Exceptional service with friendly check ins throughout the service, great food, excellent cocktails and nice atmosphere, not cramped. Modan’s Birria taco’s are a must try, the Brisket was ever so slightly dry though this was more than compensated for through the plate having so much flavour and with how tender the piece was.

Modan - WOW! We love this place. The location is gorgeous, the staff an absolute delight, cocktails delicious and the food stunning, with our stand out favourite being the Birria Tacos. Well done guys!!

Food was great, perfectly cooked and flavours were solid. Kids were a bit crazy but staff were very accommodating. Accepted our booking which included a birthday for daughters imaginary friend, without hesitation and even set a place for them Thanks guys

One of the few modern and interesting menus in Forster! Have visited several times. It’s always good. I recommend the chicken & waffles, prawn bao and kingfish ceviche. Relaxed atmosphere, local beers and great views. Service is good too.

What a vibe! This place, I have no words. Not only the staff are INCREDIBLE but the food. Orgasmic!!!! The atmosphere is phenomenal. I do not have a single thing to fault this experience on, not even the water. We ordered the Portuguese cheese breads - Super tasty. Main was the Big BBQ brisket - HOLY JESUS! Best tasting meal I have had in years. Highly recommend to share with someone as it’s a huge amazing meal. Peach daiquiri - YUMMMMMMO. I look forward to returning, don’t close I’ll be heart broken. I am so happy and satisfied in every aspect and will be bragging. Thank you

Had a few drinks here recently and had a really enjoyable time. We were there in the happy hour and had a few of the smaller plates, all were so yummy. The cocktail was also very special. Forster is lucky to have such a great place. Will be back next time I am in the area.

From the moment we walked in to be seated the staff were quick, friendly and helpful. Drink orders were taken, dinner menu provided and perfect time allowed before returning to take our order. The food was served about 15 minutes later and was fresh and beautifully presented. The brisket had been marinated in an amazing citrus sauce and was melt in the mouth perfection! The starter was zingy and light, served with the softest pull apart fresh bread. The noodle salad was made of authentic Asian greens and topped with crispy noodles with a perfectly balanced cilantro dressing. We chatted with the owner who was passionate about giving his customers the best food and dining experience and genuinely interested in our feedback. Furthermore the portion sizes were generous, prices were reasonable and the location across from the river provided for a relaxing and buzzing atmosphere. We can’t wait to return!
